Ammala Douangsavanh, President
A PrYSM co-founder, Ammala has a long history of being a Southeast Asian community leader and cultural organizer. A poet and Lao dance teacher, Ammala currently works as a marketing representative for Neighborhood Health Plan.
Linda Katz, Treasurer
Linda has worked in lobbying, public policy, and advocating for the communities she cares about. She is the Co-Founder and current policy director of The Economic Progress Institute, providing legislative and policy analysis and advocacy on public benefits and programs regarding welfare, health care, child care, and employment and training. Prior to working for the Economic Progress Institute, Linda has worked in areas of health care, disability law, and general legal services.
Theary Voeul, Secretary
Theary is one of the co-founding members of PrYSM and continues to be a very active member of the community. She is also an alumni of PrYSM’s youth programs, leading a women’s group while in the program. Theary continues to work tirelessly within the Southeast Asian community with the organizing and social justice skills and values she has gained through her work at PrYSM.
Robert Lee is an Associate Professor of American Civilization at Brown University. Robert continues to be active in the Asian American community focusing his academia on Asian American Studies and education. As a professor, he inspires Asian American students to push for more visibility for the political identity of Asian Americans at Brown.
